It has been announced that a sequel to the anime movie Osamu Tezuka’s Buddha, which is based on the great Osamu Tezuka’s original manga, will be released this fall.
In the last movie, Siddhartha, the prince of the Shakya tribe, left his tribe and family to go on a journey. The sequel will follow the fate of Siddhartha as he becomes a monk and achieves Buddhist enlightenment.
The only other information that is known so far regarding this sequel is that it is being directed by Komura Toshiaki, who is known for his work on the PreCure series, and written by Reiko Yoshida, a hitmaker who has worked on many anime series, including K-On! We will post a follow-up report once more information on this sequel is divulged.
