On April 12, the anime movie Fuse Teppo Musume no Torimonocho will be released on Blu-ray and DVD. Both a limited edition and regular edition of the movie are planned.
The limited edition will come with various extras including a message from the voice cast, as well as a reading of the poem “Fuse no Mori” by Mamoru Miyano. The poem was written as part of an illustration by Kaori Wakamatsu and was read during a live talk event. The limited edition will also come with a gorgeous 100 page booklet that features a cover illustration by Okama. According to the original author, Kazuki Sakuraba, the booklet also contains an unpublished story. The cost of the limited edition Blu-ray is 7,140 yen and the limited edition DVD is 6,090 yen. The cost of the regular edition DVD is 5,040 yen.
Another one of Sakuraba’s novels, Fuse Gansaku Satomi Hakkenden, has also been made into a movie. The movie was directed by Masayuki Miyaji, who also directed Spirited Away, and is currently enjoying a long run in theaters.
