From Mar. 21-24 at Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo International Anime Fair 2013 (TIAF), Japan’s biggest anime trade fair, will take place.
The commercial for the event is now viewable on the official site for the event. The commercial was created by The BERICH, a group of former members from Creator’s World, an event held annually at TIAF, and supervised by Tezuka Productions. Aside from the official site, the commercial has also started broadcasting on TV channels in Japan.
The BERICH is a group of siblings from Uozu, Toyama. The group creates gag anime that is based on novel ideas.
Creator’s World was started in 2003 as a part of TIAF. Differing from the business and organization displays, Creator’s World displays creators chosen according to public appeal. One of the reasons why this event has gathered attention is the positive impact it has on exhibitors’ careers due them being able to showcase their work and techniques, which also makes this event a place to see many diverse and talented works.
To date, Creator’s World has helped more than 100 creators to catch their big break. A plan has also been proposed to distribute collaboration projects between iTunes musicians and creators, as well as creating pilot productions of original works. The new commercial is one aspect of this plan.
