The opening theme for the anime Bakumatsu Gijinden Roman, “RanTiKi”, went on sale on Feb. 6. The song was sung by Yukino, a new artist who just made her debut last year. The CD jacket features an illustration by Monkey Punch. The illustration together with the song are sure to create quite a stir.
Bakumatsu Gijinden Roman is a fantasy historical story that features character designs by Lupin III creator Monkey Punch. The story takes place during the chaotic time at the end of the Edo era and depicts the struggles of Roman, a man who returns peoples’ belongings that were unrightfully taken. The opening theme, “RanTiKi”, gorgeously portrays the showy and heroic actions of Roman.
A cellphone ringtone of the song as well as a commercial for the single are also now available on Yukino’s official site.
