Commemoration Event for “Psycho Pass” Held in Akihabara and Ikebukuro

The TV anime Psycho Pass is currently broadcasting in Japan. In this sci-fi anime that is set in the near future, a digital device called a Psycho-Pass is installed in humans to measure their mental state. The anime depicts the investigators who actively fight against crime. The anime has been planned for two seasons.

Volume one of the Blu-ray and DVD for the anime went on sale on Dec. 21, 2012. To commemorate the release, a special campaign called “Year End Search for Potential Criminals Campaign” was held in Akihabara and Ikebukuro. On the day of the campaign, anime specialty shops lined the streets of Akihabara and Ikebukuro. The event featured the main characters of the Public Safety Bureau's Criminal Investigation Division, and attendees were able sign up to be an Inspector or Enforcer.
