A live-action drama version of CLAMP’s popular manga xxxHOLiC will begin airing on WOWOW on Feb. 24.
To mark the event, “xxxHOLiC Cafe - Shop,” a cafe based on the series, is open for a limited time until Mar. 3 in the B1 level of Pasela Resorts in Shibuya, Tokyo. The concept for the cafe comes from the shop within the story where the main character is hired to work by a mysterious witch named Ichihara Yuko. The interior uses the actual set from the live-action TV series, and also includes a display of props and costumes worn by Ichihara.
The eight-episode live-action TV series xxxHOLiC is set to begin on Feb. 24 at 11 p.m. Joining Anne as Ichihara Yuko, Shota Sometani will play the part of Kimihiro Watanuki, who has the ability to attract spirits. Other members of the impressive cast include Masahiro Higashide, Karen Miyazaki, Naoto Takenaka, and Yumi Adachi.
Also, starting on Jan. 6, WOWOW aired both the entire xxxHOLiC anime TV series and the film.
On top of that, right now, anyone who joins WOWOW will receive a gift as part of a special campaign. The gifts include a clear file folder, postcard, mousepad, and other goods featuring CLAMP illustrations.
