A special feature on Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo was published in the December issue of the Studio Ghibli booklet “Hot Wind”. Part of the booklet has been made into a PDF, which is now available for free online.
Rather than just focusing solely on Studio Ghibli, “Hot Wind” focuses on the entire world of animation. Contrary to what one may think, the booklet is popular not only with anime fans, but with a wide range of people. You can download the PDF from the December issue on Studio Ghibli’s official site. The PDF will be free to download until Jan. 31, 2013.
The decision to make part of the December issue a free PDF was in response to the article on Evangelion: 3.0 being so overwhelmingly popular among readers. According to Studio Ghibli, the booklet was quickly selling out and many people couldn’t get their hands on it.
The booklet includes content that you can’t find in ordinary anime magazines, such as analysis and reviews from anime critic Ryusuke Hikawa, as well as interviews with prominent figures in the industry such as the assistant chief director for Evangelion: 3.0, Ikki Todoroki.
Definitely check out the free PDF while you can!
