Second Season of the “Monogatari” Series to Be Broadcast This Summer/Fall

When talking about TV anime that are currently popular in Japan, novelist Ishin Nishio’s Monogatari works no doubt come to mind. The past works Bakemonogatari and Nisemonogatari have been the defining anime of the years in which they were respectively broadcast, and each work has become loved by fans.

Now, the 2013 schedule for Monogatari has been announced. The first season of Nekomonogatari (Kuro) is currently wrapping up, and the second season, which will be a follow-up to Bakemonogatari, Nisemonogatari, and Nekomonogatari (Kuro), is scheduled to begin this July. It has been confirmed that the second season will be comprised of the works Nekomonogatari (Shiro), Kabukimonogatari, Hanamonogatari, Otorimonogatari, Onimonogatari, and Koimonogatari. The second season will follow the main characters from the first season, so fans can rest assured that their favorite characters will return.
