The TV anime adaptation of Hakkenden: Touhou Hakken Ibun is now broadcasting!
Hakkenden: Touhou Hakken Ibun began as a popular manga by Miyuki Abe, which is being serialized in the female-oriented manga magazine, CIEL. The story follows the holders of the eight beads of legend, who are guided by the beads and burdened with the fate of a life of various struggles and battles. The anime is being directed by Osamu Yamasaki, who worked on the game Hakuoki, which has firmly seized the hearts of many women.
The cast for the anime includes Tetsuya Kakihara as Inuzuka Shino and Satoshi Hino as Inukawa Sosuke. The cast is completed by a group of other wonderful actors. Kakihara also lends his voice to the ending theme for the anime, “String of Pain”.
