The TV anime GJ-bu (Good Job Club) began airing on Nippon Television on Jan. 10, 2013. The work began as a light novel in the style of four-panel comic and was published by Gagaga Bunko. The animation is being produced by the animation studio Dogakobo, whose past works include Yuru Yuri and Natsuyuki Rendezvous. The staff includes the extraordinarily talented Yoshiyuki Fujiwara, best known for his work on Sword Art Online, as director, Miwa Oshima as character designer, and Hideaki Koyasu as series composer. The main character, Shinomiya Kyoya, is voiced by the popular voice actor Hiro Shimono. Other cast members include Maaya Uchida, Yume Miyamoto, Suzuko Mimori, and Chika Arakawa, who is known from the 2012 variety show “Yokoso! Higashi Ikebukuro Himawari Sou”. The cast is really impressive!

The anime is an adolescent school story. The main character, Shinomiya Kyoya, is forced to join an unidentified club called the GJ (Good Job) Club in a room in the old building of a certain high school. There he meets four unique girls who bring a refreshing calmness to his everyday life.
