The opening theme for the animated movie Nerawareta Gakuen is now available online. The opening theme is “Giniro Hikousen”, the new single by the group Supercell. The song was released on Dec. 19, 2012, and the music video is now viewable on the free video site, GyaO!
Supercell met with the movie’s director during production, and crafted the song to match the world of the movie.
Both a standard edition as well as a limited first edition of the single have been released. The standard edition comes only with the CD, and the first limited edition comes packed with special items for fans, such as a Blu-ray or DVD, a super jewel case designed by Shiro Miwa, special Nerawareta Gakuen stickers, and more. The pricing for the CDs are as follows: the first limited edition+Blu-ray is 1890 yen, the first limited edition+DVD is 1575 yen, and the regular edition is 1223 yen.
On Dec. 5, 2012, Supercell’s lead man ryo also released a new Egoist single called “Namae no Nai Kaibutsu”. The limited edition of the single, which also comes with a DVD, is 1680 yen and the regular edition is 1223 yen. The song is also being used as the ending theme to the anime Psycho Pass, which airs on Fuji TV’s noitaminA anime block. If you haven’t heard it yet, check it out!
