Samurai Armor Hoodies were created by fans, for fans by working together with several samurai experts during the production process.

Each hoodie comes as a set together with a mask and a tatemono crest.

You can also complete the samurai look with accessories including extra tatemono crests and masks (sold separately). Choose them to your liking and transform your style with a unique samurai look!

• The body of the hoodie is 100% cotton.
• It’s machine washable, too!
• Each stitch is embroidered elegantly.
• The himo (cord) is made with traditional Kaga-Yuzen silk dyeing technique (What is Kaga-Yuzen?)
• The himo (cord) is removable as well.
• There’s a loop for your finger, too, just like the real thing!
• The shoulder pieces are also removable.
• “Bu” (武) for “bushi” (meaning samurai warrior in Japanese) is written on the back.

Tatemono crests for use with the Samurai Armor Hoodie.

Tatemono crests were worn by ancient Japanese warriors, most notably the samurai in feudal Japan, as distinguishing markers, like a family crest or symbolic object, used to decorate their helmets and visors. There are different names for the crests depending on where they attach to the helmet: maedate on the front, wakidate on the side, kashiradate on the crown of the head, and ushirodate on the back. The tatemono crests for use with Samurai Armor Hoodies are maedate.

Features

• The tatemono crests use synthetic leather for firmness and durability so they’ll stand up straight while wearing them - no flimsiness or folding over!
• The tatemono crest pieces can be easily attached and removed. Just fit the conveniently-located buttons on the hoodie through the slits on the crest piece.
• You can design and create your own original tatemono crest pieces, too! Just cut a slit in your design, and attach it!
• Two of the most popular designs are available: crescent moon and hoe.
