PS3
A landmark of video gaming technology, Sony’s revolutionary PlayStation 3, or PS3 for short, was first released in 2006 and was the first console to make the Blu-ray disc its primary storage method. The PS3 was also the first to feature social networking services like the PlayStation Network as well as offering connectivity with the handheld consoles PSP (PlayStation Portable), and PS Vita.
A thinner, revised version of the PS3, the PS3 Slim, was released in 2009, followed by the Super Slim in 2012. The console has since been superseded by the PlayStation 4 but continues to be well loved by gaming fans.
