Kirigaya “Kirito” Kazuto is the main protagonist in the popular Sword Art Online series by Reki Kawahara. His long journey begins when he is one of the many that is trapped in the MMORPG SAO with only two ways out: dying in the game (which means death in real life) or completely clearing the multi-level dungeon of Aincrad that is bereft with the possibility of death itself.

At only 17 years old, Kirito quickly learns the value in building up his own strength with the hope of escaping the virtual prison, along with relying on allies like Asuna, Yui, Silica, and Klein - even as strangers and friends alike are killed off and forever lost, both in-game and real life.
