Interviews with Monster Girls, also known as Demi-chan wa Kataritai and Demi Wants to Talk, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Petos. It was adapted into a TV anime by A-1 Pictures.
Protagonist Tetsuo Takahashi is a high school biology teacher with an innocent fascination for demi-humans or “demis.” He earned the nickname “Iron Man” because of his bulky physique and because his first name is made up of the kanji for “iron” and “man.” When he ends up having three demis as students, he desires to learn more about them and help them as much as he can since they’re only starting to become slowy accepted into human society.
Tetsuo’s demi students are Hikari Takanashi, a lively vampire who drinks blood packets provided by the government and tomato juice to curb her dangerous cravings; Kyoko Machi, a dullahan who, despite her effort and desire, has a hard time making friends because her unusual appearance can make other people uncomfortable; and Yuki Kusakabe, a yukki-onna or “snow girl” who fears her demi abilities might injure someone. There is also a demi math teacher named Sakie Sato, a succubus who often has to go out of her way to not unintentionally seduce her male students. These characters combined make for a cute slice-of-life comedy.
