Banpresto
Banpresto Co., Ltd is a Japanese toy manufacturer and video game studio which has been owned by Bandai Namco Holdings since 2006. First founded in 1977 as Hoei Sangyo, Co., Ltd., the firm was renamed Coreland in 1982 when it mainly operated as a subcontractor for SEGA. The company took its current name of Banpresto after being bought by Bandai in 1989.
Banpresto is also responsible for the Super Robot Wars series of video games which have also been translated and released for the American market. They also collaborate frequently with anime as in the Slam Dunk basketball games and Tenchi Muyou! Game Hen as well as the Another Century’s Episode series and the Compati Hero games which are a crossover series featuring Ultraman, Kamen Rider, and Gundam.
Banpresto also produce a wide range of merchandise including collectable figures such as the Chibi Kyun Chara series of chibi mini figures, the Tea Party series which has your favorite anime characters sitting on dining chairs and enjoying a nice cup of tea, and other non-articulated statues, plus keychains, mascots and household items too!
