Popular even to this day, the anime Cardcaptor Sakura is celebrating its 15 year anniversary with the release of its newest song album titled Yasashisano Tane. Junko Iwao, who portrays the voice and personality of one of the main characters Tomoyo Daidouji, covers herself by recording two versions of each song. One version recorded in Tomoyo’s voice and another in her own.

The original Cardcaptor Sakura author, Clamp, returned to oversee the illustration of the jacket cover. Bassist Ryu Kawamura, winner of the highest award at the national Contrabass festival, and pianist Takana Miyamoto, one of the selected 25 “Asian artists who most influenced North America” join Iwao in a highly celebrated gathering of musical talent. This album has a lot of love for the Cardcaptor Sakura series held within its covers. We recommend you to give it a listen!
