AnimeJapan, one of the largest anime events in Japan and in the world, will make its return to Tokyo Big Sight on March 28th and 29th from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The event will feature over 120 booths, including exhibitors and exhibited works from Japan’s most important production studios and distributors like Aniplex, Toei Animation, MAPPA, Netflix, and more.
This year promises even more excitement with new anime announcements, live performances, and limited merchandise! We’ve gathered the essential information you need for the show. Plus, we’re giving away tickets, so keep reading to learn how to enter.

Announcing the AJ 2026 Stage Lineup
AnimeJapan is where the latest Japanese anime news breaks and fans gather for updates on their favorite anime. Many of these announcements, cast talk sessions, and surprises will happen across AnimeJapan’s four stages! The schedule for the RED STAGE, GREEN STAGE, BLUE STAGE, and WHITE STAGE has been revealed, and you can view the full English timetable and breakdown of the panels and stage shows here on their website.

Other Areas of Interest at AJ 2026
Tokyo Big Sight is a large venue, which means there will be plenty of other fun activities to participate in or see at AnimeJapan.
For fans looking to learn in-depth about the process of creating anime should visit the Production Works Gallery. This year AnimeJapan is educating fans on the role of the “Producer”, and the booth will feature interviews with producers, quizzes, hands-on experiences, and more to help you learn about the importance of this role in an anime’s production.
Cosplayer’s World is always a standout area for fans wanting to see or dress up as their favorite characters. This year, AnimeJapan is adding to the excitement with their first-ever Cosplay Dance Entertainment Festival! Fans can enjoy the dance-off between cosplay teams on both public days from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Cosplayers can also take photos with the official AnimeJapan backdrop or join the Cosplay Gathering to take pictures with their fellow cosplayers.
If you’re looking for a souvenir to remember AnimeJapan or commemorate your favorite series, be sure to visit the official merchandise area for original illustrations, exclusive items, and other collectables that are associated with many of the main anime featured at this year’s event.

Family Anime Festa 2026
For families with children in elementary school or younger, enjoy exhibit booths, Family Stage performances, character meet and greets, workshops, and more at Family Anime Festa 2026. This is a sister-event of AnimeJapan 2026, and it will be located in the South Exhibition Hall 1. Parents and guardians can bring their own strollers, and changing rooms will also be available.

Make sure to buy your tickets from Jan. 16th to Feb. 24th if you want to join one of the AJ Stages.
