Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Anime Gets Sequel!

Magical girl anime Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card is getting a sequel!

The news marks five years since the anime aired from January to June 2018 as an adaptation of the manga series of the same name.

Details on the airdate and cast are yet to be confirmed.

The overall Cardcaptor Sakura franchise began in 1996 with Clamp's iconic manga series, which follows elementary school student Sakura Kinomoto on her quest to recover a set of magical cards with her newly gained powers. The first TV anime aired from 1998 to 2000 with 70 episodes.

Centered around Sakura's adventures as a junior high school student, Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card debuted in 2016 as a sequel to the original manga series.
