Shopping Guide
Hey there, we’re glad to see you again! It’s shaping up to be another scorcher of a weekend - or perhaps more accurately, another sauna of a weekend! That’s enough complaining about the weather, though. This time, we’re thinking of some of the pluses of summer in Japan, like natsu matsuri, or summer festivals. It’s always great fun to head out and wander around the stalls to stuff yourself with piping hot yakisoba, and then cool down with some rapidly melting shaved ice. Plus, it’s not every day that you get to see so many people clattering around in their geta sandals and colorful yukata! If all of this sounds familiar to you despite the fact you’ve never been to one, we’re guessing that you’re a huge otaku who’s seen it time and time again in the classic “summer festival” episode that every anime seems to have!
