Iconic VTuber Kizuna AI has revealed an anime project in the works and a new singing AI!
Both pieces of news were announced on February 26, 2022, at Kizuna AI The Last Live “hello, world 2022," the VTuber's last concert before her indefinite hiatus. Featuring 1,820 other virtual talents, the event attracted over 130,000 concurrent viewers on YouTube.
While details on the anime project are yet to be revealed, the newly revealed AI, named Kizuna (#KZN), appeared at the concert for a duet. Although she is still in development, she is confirmed to be using vocal synthesizer software CEVIO AI.
After debuting in 2016, Kizuna AI went on to become a pioneer of the VTuber (Virtual YouTuber) phenomenon that captured both Japanese and overseas audiences. In her persona as a self-proclaimed artificial intelligence, she sings, dances, plays games and more, both inside and outside her YouTube channels. As of February 2022, her main channel, A.I. Channel, has over 3 million subscribers.
