Live Action Kingdom Film Sequel Reveals New Cast Member in Trailer and Still!

The upcoming sequel to the hit live action Kingdom film has released a teaser trailer and publicity still featuring new cast member Nana Seino as balletic assassin Qiang Lei!

Seino's previous live action roles include Haruka Kyan in After the Rain and Riko Akasaka in From Today, It's My Turn!! She also plays a 24-year-old Shizuku Tsukishima in the upcoming live action film adaptation of Studio Ghibli's Whisper of the Heart.

Adapted from Yasuhisa Hara's manga series, Kingdom is set in China’s Warring States period. The story follows two young men, with one hoping to become a top general and the other an emperor uniting all China.

Season 1 of the TV anime aired from June 2012 to February 2013, with Season 2 following from June 2013 to March 2014, and Season 3 from April 2020 to October 2021. The first live action film was released in 2019.

Kingdom 2 will open in Japan in summer 2022.
