Comedy manga The Way of the Househusband is getting a live action film in summer 2022!
The film's official Twitter account has released a photo of its main cast members: Hiroshi Tamaki as Tatsu, Haruna Kawaguchi as Miku, and Jun Shison as Tatsu’s former associate Masa.

Original author Kosuke Ono has also revealed a celebratory visual of Tatsu wielding his trusty household weapons.

Toichiro Ruto, who directed the live action TV drama adaptation, will return to helm the film. The following cast members will reprise their roles: Tamaki Shiratori as the couple’s daughter Himawari, Naoto Takenaka as Tatsu’s former mob boss Eguchi, Izumi Inamori as Eguchi’s wife Hibari, Kenichi Takito as Tatsu’s former rival Torajiro, Yuta Furukawa and Junpei Yasui as local policemen Sakai and Sadoshima, Tina Tamashiro as cafe waitress Yukari, and Megumi and Michiko Tanaka as Tanaka and Ota respectively.
The Way of the Househusband follows former yakuza boss Tatsu. Once known as the “immortal dragon,” he retired from life as a gangster to become a doting househusband and support his wife Miku in her career.
The live action film adaptation of The Way of the Househusband will open in summer 2022.
