The Gundam franchise’s upcoming live action film is now set for release on Netflix and will be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts ( Kong: Skull Island )!
The film was first announced at anime convention Anime Expo 2018 in Los Angeles. Sunrise, the original creator of the iconic franchise, is teaming up with Legendary Entertainment, an American media company known for titles like Jurassic World, as well as anime-inspired works like Pacific Rim and Godzilla. Comic book and television writer Brian K. Vaughan is handling the script.
The iconic mecha franchise began in 1979 with an original anime by Sunrise, going on to release countless anime and manga series, as well as games, novelizations, live experiences and more.
