Project Sakura Wars Gets TV Anime Adaptation For 2020!

Project Sakura Wars, the latest game in the Sakura Wars franchise, is getting a TV anime adaptation in 2020! Titled Shin Sakura Taisen the Animation, the show will be directed by Sword Art Online Alicization's Ono Manabu.

Set in the Taisho era, the game boasts character design by Bleach's Kubo Tite, music by Tanaka Kouhei and story composition by Ishii Jirou.

Shin Sakura Taisen the Animation will revolve around Amamiya Sakura (played by Sakura Ayane) and feature the game’s opening theme “Geki! Teikoku Kagekidan ”. Series composition is by both Ono and Urahata Tatsuhiko, while Sanzigen is handling the animation.

Shin Sakura Wars The Animation airs in 2020.
