Hibike! Euphonium Movie Confirms Apr. 2019 Release!

Hibike! Euphonium is officially heading back to the big screen on Apr. 19, 2019!

A teaser video has been released for the new movie, Hibike! Euphonium: Chikai no Finale. It will follow Omae Kumiko as a second year student when she and Kabe Tomoe find themselves looking after the band’s new members: Hisaishi Kanade, who seems to have not a trouble in the world, Suzuki Mirei, who doesn't even try to get used to the environment around her, Suzuki Satsuki, who wants to get close to Mirei, and the reticent Tsukinaga Motomi.

Inspired by the light novel by Takeda Ayano, Hibike! Euphonium is a slice of life anime series following the members of a high school music club. The TV anime adaptation was first broadcast in 2015 with Season 2 following in 2016 and its first movie, Hibike! Euphonium: The Movie - Welcome to the Kitauji High School Concert Band, released in Apr. 2016. This latest installment will be the franchise's fourth anime movie.

From Oct. 5, customers purchasing advanced tickets from one of the cinemas screening the movie will receive a limited edition clear file featuring an illustration by character designer Ikeda Shoko. There are four different designs available and customers will receive one randomly selected file for each ticket purchased.

Hibike! Euphonium: Chikai no Finale opens in Japanese theaters on Apr. 19, 2019.
