The anime adaptation of Kawamoto Homura and Naomura Toru's Kakegurui - Compulsive Gambler will be getting a second season!
The first season of the thrilling gambling-based anime series premiered in July 2017. The original manga was first serialized in Gangan Joker in 2014 and has grown in popularity with over 3.7 million copies printed.
Kakegurui takes place in a world where one of the most prestigious academies in Japan focuses on how well its students can analyze and gamble, rather than academic merits.
The protagonist, Jabami Yumeko, is one of the academy’s students who seems to have an unhealthy fondness for gambling, even when she knows the outcome isn’t favorable for her. What stakes will she face in the next season?
