The return of Sunrise anime Tiger & Bunny is imminent with a new anime project in the works!
Set in a world where many of those with superpowers (dubbed NEXT) become sponsored superheroes, the original anime follows veteran hero Kaburagi T. Kotetsu (or "Wild Tiger"), who is partnered with the young Barnaby Brooks Jr.
Believe it or not, a whole 7 years has passed since the premiere of the anime! Beginning in 2011, it spanned 25 episodes and spawned two additional movies in 2012 and 2014.
Just recently, NHK ran a ranking contest where Japanese fans ranked their top anime, and Tiger & Bunny came in first! The series' lingering popularity signals that there are still plenty of fans out there, both inside and outside Japan. Be sure to stay tuned for more details!
