Universal Cool Japan, the epic Universal Studios Japan event held annually since 2015, has been a hit with fans all over the world, and it’ll be making its return for a limited time on Jan. 19, 2018. This year will be bigger and better than ever, too! In addition to the previously announced lineup, more Final Fantasy details have been revealed including the “Final Fantasy XR Ride”, an epic rollercoaster that’ll allow you to experience the world of Final Fantasy in an entirely new way.
Final Fantasy XR Ride has been brought to life through the combined efforts of Visual Works, the CGI animation studio in charge of cute scenes and films for Square Enix, and Universal Studios. It takes you around the world of Final fantasy at high speeds, warping fans to different worlds in the franchise.
Held at Universal Studio Japan, Universal Cool Japan captures the most popular material in Japan in larger-than-life ways, including titles like Neon Genesis Evangelion, Dragon Ball, Detective Conan, and Attack on Titan. If the next round's Final Fantasy rollercoaster is any indication, 2018’s Universal Cool Japan will be the best yet!
