Devilman Crybaby, an upcoming anime adaptation based on Nagai Go’s manga Devilman, revealed its second PV along with the main cast!
The anime's script will be written by Okouchi Ichiro from Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress and directed by Yuasa Masaaki, known for titles like Mind Game, Ping Pong the Animation, The Tatami Galaxy, and the animated short The Night Is Short, Walk on Girl. Science Saru will be in charge of animation.
Fudo Akira (Devilman) will be voiced by Uchiyama Koki, and his best friend Asuka Ryo by Murase Ayumu.
Devilman originally ran from 1972 to 1973 in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine, boasting 50 million copies published worldwide. It was translated in numerous countries including the Anglosphere, Italy, France, Hong Kong, and South Korea. The cult series has since evolved into a mixed media encompassing anime, games, novels, a live action movie, and derivative manga.
Devilman Crybaby will be streamed exclusively on Netflix in 190 countries from early spring 2018 and will be available in 10 languages with subtitles in 25 languages.
