Set to air during the Noitamina block beginning on July 6, DIVE!! has been a hot topic since its announcement. In addition to a great second PV, the newly announced voice actors joining on for the supplementary cast have everyone excited for this adaptation!
DIVE!! follows 14-year old Sakai Tomoki, a boy who has been diving since he was a child. He enters the Mizuki Diving Club with his friends, with a new coach named Asaki Kayoko warning them that if no one goes to the Olympics, the club will be shut down.
The newest PV shows Tomoki first becoming enchanted by diving and meeting Fujitani Youichi, also incorporating a melody that includes both the opening and ending themes.
There were also some new cast members announced! Hidaka Rina will be playing Nomura Miu, Tomoki’s girlfriend.
Fujitani Keisuke, a former diving Olympian, Youichi’s father, and the current MDC coach, will be played by Konishi Katsuyuki.
Finally, Hatano Wataru will be playing Oshima Chikara, an energetic and passionate MDC coach.
It’ll be great to finally get to see these characters in the actual anime in just a few weeks!
