Uniqlo’s UT Grand Prix T-shirt design contest received the largest number of entries ever last year. The theme of the competition was Nintendo and fans from all over the world were invited to submit their best creations featuring some of the iconic game studio’s much loved characters. Hand picked by Super Mario creator Miyamoto Shigeru and the Nintendo team, the winning designs have been announced and will be available in Uniqlo stores from May 19.
Kawazoe Takashi took the top prize with an 8-bit inspired pixel design featuring Super Mario.
Yamazaki Shino’s elegant Splatoon inspired design came in second.
The third place winner is a wraparound design inspired by The Legend of Zelda created by David Ricardo Flores Gomez from Mexico who also has another design inspired by the classic Star Fox game among the winning entries

Animal Crossing
And of course Donkey Kong
