The newest anime commercial to Marukome’s long-selling “Ryotei no Aji” miso paste is here! The 5th of the commercial series that started in 2014 April, it’s themed around family like it’s predecessors. Titled “Ryotei no Aji No Additive: Haha ni Nareba”, it is narrated by Kaho, who didn’t use to appreciate her mother but came to understand her love and devotion.

Featuring music by Kotringo, who is known for her work on “Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni”, “Haha ni Nareba” is produced by Robot Communications, the animation studio that won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film and the Annecy Cristal at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival in 2008 with the anime short La Maison en Petits Cubes. No wonder it’s so beautiful!
Although the videos are currently only available online, they will also be broadcasted from Apr. 6 on TV channels Japan-wide.
