The latest work from Tatami Galaxy’s Yuasa Masaaki, The Night Is Short, Walk on Girl, is set to hit cinema screens across Japan from April 7! But ahead of the wide release, the movie will premiere at Toho Cinemas Roppongi Hills on March 9.
This star-studded event will not only provide the opportunity to see the completed movie before anyone else but will also boast a selection of guests from the cast and creative team including director Yuasa Masaaki himself as well as Hoshino Gen, Hanazawa Kana, Kamiya Hiroshi, and Akiyama Ryuji.
Tickets go on sale at midnight on March 6 (Japan time) and if there are any left over you’ll also be able to book in person from the theatre box office on March 9. Regular tickets are priced at 2,000 yen, but for an additional fee you can upgrade to luxury or box seats for the premiere.
The Night Is Short, Walk on Girl is based on a novel by Morimi Tomihiko, who also scripted the source novel for Yuasa’s previous critically acclaimed work Tatami Galaxy. Set in Kyoto, this youthful romantic story has proved popular among students and continues to be among Morimi’s best-loved works.
