Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale is opening in theaters on Feb. 18, 2017. Commemorating this, a special TV program will be broadcast! It will feature Kirito’s voice actor Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Asuna’s voice actor Haruka Tomatsu, Yuna’s voice actor Sayaka Kanda, Eiji’s voice actor Yoshio Inoue, and Shigemura’s voice actor Takeshi Kaga. Series creator Reki Kawahara will also make an appearance. It will be an enjoyable special for both Sword Art Online fans and newcomers alike. In addition to appearing on Niconico Live Stream on Dec. 24 at 11:30 p.m., it will then appear on Abema TV、dAnime Store, and other services, as well. There will also be a collaborative event on sunday, Feb. 12, 2017 between Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale, the Japanese Sports Chanbara Association, and the Setagaya-ku Sports Chanbara Association titled the SAO Sports Chanbara Tournament! This tournament will be held as a part of the Setagaya Sports Chanbara Festival. Details about how to participate will be released later, but the winner will receive an amazing prize. See if you can become a real-life Kirito or Asuna!
