Detective Conan Anime Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Encore of Much-Loved Orchestral Concert!

The 20th anniversary Detective Conan concert 2016 in Kyomaf will take place at Kyoto’s Rohm Theater on Sept. 17, 2016. The concert has previously been performed in both Tokyo and Osaka and will now grace the Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair (Kyomaf)! The Detective Conan TV anime (also known as Case Closed) first began broadcasting on Japanese television from Jan. 8, 1996, and now thanks to the huge support it receives from fans the series is celebrating its 20th anniversary!

The 20th Detective Conan movie, Detective Conan: The Darkest Nightmare, was also released in April of this year and proved a big box office hit. So many fans have continued to love Detective Conan over the last two decades, and now they’ll have the opportunity to relive some of those fantastic memories with this special anniversary orchestral concert breathing fresh life into well-known tunes from throughout the series’ history. With all the famous scenes mixing music and emotion, the concert will chart the 20-year history of this hugely popular series. Kyomaf is known for its fantastic stage events and the Detective Conan concert is sure to prove another excellently produced spectacle.

Characters x Orchestra?!
Many of the characters which have appeared throughout Detective Conan’s TV and movie history are expected to appear in the concert. Famous emotional scenes, the opening titles of the TV series, themes from the movies, background music - you’ll have the opportunity to hear all of these wonderful tunes as part of the orchestral concert. That’s in addition to the high quality staging and surprise elements which are typical of Kyomaf.

About Detective Conan
