Oku Hiroya’s manga Inuyashiki is being adapted into a TV anime. It’s planned to be broadcasted beginning in Oct. 2017 during Fuji TV’s Noitamina block. The main staff and PV have been revealed for the anime, and plans for a live-action film adaptation were also announced.
Inuyashiki is written and illustrated by Oku Hiroya, also known for Gantz (which received a CG film adaptation), and it has been serialized in Kodansha’s Evening since 2014. This story follows the elderly salaryman Inuyashiki Ichiro and high schooler Shishigami Hiro and follows the theme, “What if, one day, you suddenly came to possess incredible power?”
The anime adaptation was announced on Dec. 15 at Noitamina Project Presentation 2017. It will begin broadcasting in Oct. 2017, and the supervisor will be Satou Keiichi (**Tiger & Bunny**, Rage of Bahamut: Genesis, and Gantz:O). It will be directed by Yabuta Shuhei, who was also the 3D director of Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress and Attack on Titan, and the animation will be done by Mappa.

Original creator Oku Hiroya said about the anime adaptation, “We’re blessed with a phenomenal staff for the Inuyashiki anime, so I’m excited about it, too! I can’t wait for next year!”
A live-action film adaptation was also announced at the presentation as a part of the “Inuyashiki Project.” It was big news following after the anime adaptation, but we’ll have to wait until later to see what kind of film it’ll be!
