Starting today, the popular video service dTV will begin streaming the recently aired anime special Hashire! Oumatsu-san! The special, which was a direct result of the “JRA x Osomatsu-san” collaboration project, will also be joined by Osomatsu-san: Short Film Series, which was included in the DVD and Blu-ray releases as bonus content.
The Long-Awaited Special
The Osomatsu-san special Hashire! Oumatsu-san was broadcast live on TV Tokyo on Dec. 12 and streamed on Umabi on Dec. 13. However, for those who missed both the stream and live broadcast, dTV has already added the content to their website as part of their new service where they host recently broadcast shows! Head over to dTV to watch “Antei no Mutsu Kawaii Sugi,” “Osomatsu-san ha Eien ni Fumetsu,” “Yumedemo Mitetayouna 30 Bun Deshita,” and more.
DVD & Blu-ray Bonus Content
To date, eight volumes of a DVD and Blu-ray combo have been released for Osomatsu-san, each with a bonus short as a part of the Osomatsu-san: Short Film Series! While fans would typically have to buy these combo packs or borrow from a friend to watch the shorts of their beloved characters, these can now be viewed on dTV with a membership!
New Video Services
dTV carries a total of 18 different genres, so there’s something for every anime fan to watch. With over 500 anime titles available on their site, they’re looking still to expand and grow so that they can live up to users’ needs. That’s why they’ve recently unveiled two new video services on their site called “Minogashi Haishin” and “Senkou Haishin.”
The lineup of available anime has also expanded to include recently broadcast shows and episodes, as well as bonus shorts and specials usually reserved for DVD and Blu-ray owners! In addition to anime, dTV is also expanding to include live music, movies produced in and out of Japan, and dramas!
