Ichifuji Catering, which handles the manufacture of wooden bento boxes as well as sales and distribution to hospitals, schools, and care homes, is currently accepting orders for a special One Piece New Year’s bento, available for reservation until Dec. 22.
The limited edition One Piece set is the perfect way to brighten up your dinner table this New Year’s as it features beautiful all new illustrations from the box itself right to the chopsticks.
In keeping with the One Piece theme, the boxes come as a two-layered set including a pirate-inspired seafood course and some meat dishes for Luffy. Sure to satisfy even children and young people, the menu has been designed by the head chef at a 115-year-old specialist osechi store and uses only the finest ingredients.
As the bento are refrigerated, you won’t need to allow time for defrosting or arranging the food. The boxes will be delivered on New Year’s Eve so you can just relax and sit down to eat on New Year’s Day.
Osechi Menu
The boxes include two layers reflecting the One Piece world with a pirate-themed seafood selection and a meat selection for Luffy. Of course, the bento also includes the essential New Year black beans, herring roe, and Kuri Kinton (sweetened chestnuts with mashed sweet potato).
Pirate-Themed Seafood:
The seafood selection is inspired by the wide oceans the Straw Hat Pirates travel across throughout the series. Using only the finest ingredients, the course is full of the bounty of the sea! Includes smoked oil pickled Hokkaido salmon, Kuri Kinton, salmon roses, braised roe, plum-flavoured octopus, prawns, herring roe, dried anchovies, katsuo-kurumi, teriyaki amberjack, fried crab leg, black beans, soy sauce pickled salmon roe, smoked scallop, and kumquats with leaves.
Luffy’s Meat Selection:
A selection of meat-themed dishes that the always full of vitality Luffy would love. Includes a special Jolly Roger design omelette! Includes salmon terrine, smoked duck, roast beef, fried chicken thighs, chicken & basil chicken thighs, Jolly Roger flag omelette, Hokkaido reared chicken herb roll, prawn & sea urchin terrine, marble cheese, pastrami beef, “one hand frank” - sausage with a bone “handle”, soft Rafute, brown sugar roasted pork, and candied peaches.
