Namco opened orders on Nov. 24 on Bandai’s official shopping site Premium Bandai for iPhone cases based on Oarai Girls High School and its rival Kuromorimine Girls High School of Girls und Panzer, a heartfelt tank story anime following the everyday lives of highschool girls pursuing sensha-do (the way of the tank) using actual tanks. The cases are available in Oarai and Kuromorimine versions, each made of highly durable duralumin and available in sizes to fit the 6 or 6s, and the 7 (15,000 yen each; tax included, shipping and handling separate).
These duralumin-made iPhone cases are available in two designs based on the Oarai Girls High School team and Kuromorimine Girls High School team appearing in Girls und Panzer der Film. Each is also available in two sizes, one fitting the iPhone 6 and 6s, and another fitting the iPhone 7.
Colored using anodized aluminum processing, these cases are made of highly durable and pure duralumin, also known as A2017. This special metal is also used in aviation and space. Each school weapon and tank have been engraved using laser machining. The IV Ausf. H used by protagonist Miho Nishizumi and the Tiger I used by her older sister Maho Nishizumi both come vividly to life in light on the Oarai and Kuromorimine versions, respectively. These iPhone cases capture both the tenacity and detail of tanks.
