The Moshi Moshi Nippon Festival celebrates Japanese pop culture! In 2014, 15,000 people attended and in 2015, 25,000 people attended! The festival has been held in several countries bringing tons of aspects of Japanese culture to experience and enjoy with it including Japanese fashion, music, food, and anime.
Now the event will commence once again in Tokyo on Nov. 24-27! Live performances by Japanese artists and a fashion show put on by popular women’s magazines are planned for Saturday (26) and Sunday (27)! The first announcement of performances includes eight popular artists!
Performances planned for Saturday (26) so far include Silent Siren - a band that just completed a world tour of five countries and six cities - and Natsume Mito who rocketed to stardom in Japan immediately after she debuted with “Maegami Kirisugita” produced by Yasutaka Nakata.
On Sunday (27), Capsule - a band led by Yasutaka Nakata that has put on extraordinary performances incorporating light, sound, and video in huge festivals throughout the world numerous times - and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu - who has established herself as a “Kawaii Culture” worldwide icon - will perform. Tempura Kidz and Atarashii Gakkou no Leaders will also perform.
The opening showcase on Saturday (26) will feature the Japanese drum performer Taishi Yamabe and Shogo Yoshii, a young artist of traditional Japanese music. Also in the outside area will be food vendors offering a variety of representative food from Japan that foreigners too are sure to enjoy. Foreigners who register prior to the event and show their passport or residence card can enter for free!
