A long time has passed since the first Blue Exorcist series in 2011 and the movie in 2012, and the July announcement brought the news everyone has been waiting for: A new anime series titled Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Impure King Arc ( Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujouou-hen )! And now to the new announcements!
1. Air Date
*Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Impure King Arc* is set to air from January 2017 on Animeism on MBS.
2. First Key Visual Revealed!
Drawn for the occasion by original author Kazue Kato, you get to see the students of the Exorcist Cram School in an atmosphere different from before. The visual will also be featured on a long poster at the passageway beside the ticket gates at the North Entrance of JR Ikebukuro Station between Oct. 3 and 9.
3. First Promotional Video
You can see lots of new cuts as well as characters making their debut in this arc in the new PV.
4. New Characters & Cast
**■ Tatsuma Suguro (CV: Takashi Inagaki)**
Ryuji’s father and the current leader of the Myoo Dharani sect, he’s also called “The Corrupt Priest” for his excessive drinking habit. His behavior causes a strain on his relationship with Ryuji, who wants to rebuild the temple.
■ Juzo Shima (CV: Katsuyuki Konishi)
The second son of the Shima family and an Upper Second Class Exorcist. He might look nice, but he has a quick temper.
■ Kinzo Shima (CV: Kisho Taniyama)
The fourth son of the Shima family with a similar temper to Juzo’s, Kinzo is a Middle Second Class Exorcist.
■ Mamushi Hojo (CV: M·A·O)
A Middle First Class Exorcist who has the ability to summon Nagas from her hands. She dislikes the Shima family, especially Juzo.
■ Saburota Todo (CV: Kazuhiro Yamaji)
Coming from a famous exorcist family, Saburota is a former lecturer of the Exorcist Cram School. At present, he is head of the Saishinbu at True Cross Academy, where the left eye of the Impure King is sealed.
