Tamashii Web Shop, the shop on Bandai’s official shopping site Premium Bandai for collectible figures, will be home to a stunning recreation of the Kaleidomoon Scope which appeared in the TV anime Sailor Moon Super S. It was designed for the Proplica series and went up for pre-order on Sept. 30 at 1:00 p.m. for 14,040 yen.
■ About the Product
Proplica is a brand developed to make you feel like you’re holding the real thing, and it is now bringing fans a recreation of the Kaleidomoon Scope from the seventh season of Sailor Moon, Sailor Moon Super S. The outside features gold and red, giving it a gorgeous design. The moving wing parts have a beautifully glossy pearl coating. The stick’s joint and base glitter in many colors thanks to the LEDs, recreating its appearance from the series. The pink LED in the middle between the wings can also be turned on and off. Six newly recorded lines by Kotono Mitsuishi have also been compiled including “Moon gorgeous meditation!” and “Akiramenai de! Anata no utsukushii yume o” (“Don’t give up on your beautiful dream!”). Background music and voice lines can be played independently, so you can have the background music playing and then play a voice line whenever you choose. The Proplica Moon Stick (9,504 yen, tax included) also went up for re-sale at stores on Sept. 30.

■ About the Proplica Series
The name Proplica comes from a combination of “prop” and “replica.” Bandai has released a number of items over the years based on transformation items (props), and Proplica is a series dedicated to using that know-how and cutting-edge techniques to create collectors’ items which make fans feel like they’re holding the real thing.
About Sailor Moon
First serialised in 1992 in the monthly manga magazine Nakayoshi (published by Kodansha), Sailor Moon is a shojo manga series written and illustrated by Naoko Takeuchi. Sailor Moon sparked a social phenomenon - the tankobon volumes of the original manga series have been translated into over 17 languages, and the anime series has been broadcast in over 40 countries.
The Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Project began in 2012, and in September 2013 the Sailor Moon musicals returned to the stage after an 8-year hiatus, with performances of a new production planned for Tokyo and Fukuoka in October and for Osaka in November 2016. In April 2016, season 3 of the new anime series Sailor Moon Crystal started airing, and the first ever Sailor Moon fan club was launched. Sailor Moon merchandise like Sailor Moon Crystal Blu-rays, DVDs, and the original soundtrack are flying off the shelves, along with the Sailor Moon Complete Edition manga.
