The Crayon Shin-chan 25th Anniversary Project Executive Committee has set up special events in Shin-chan’s hometown of Kasukabe, Saitama as a way of celebrating the anniversary! These are a part of the “Crayon Shin-chan 25th Anniversary Commemorative Event: Ora no Machi Kasukabe ni Kureba~” (or if you come to my town of Kasukabe~) and will take place from Nov. 3 through mid-May next year. This will be co-sponsored by Tobu Railway Co., Ltd. and feature specially illustrated Crayon Shin-chan designs all over Kasukabe as promotion.
Tobu Railway will be running the Tobu Railway Crayon Shin-chan wrapped train on their Tobu Skytree Line featuring Shin-chan and his friends in the Kasukabe Defense Corps. If you visit Tokyo Skytree’s Tokyo Solamachi, you can also check out the Crayon Shin-chan collaborative cafe open for a limited time called the Bistro Oramachi. It will have a limited menu of food and sweets that Shin-chan and his friends want to eat, as well as Crayon Shin-chan-inspired decorations, dishes, and a photo spot.
Meanwhile, Kasukabe will have a wrapped Crayon Shin-chan bus running, an exhibit in the third floor Puripuri Cinema Studio at the shopping mall Lala Garden Kasukabe, and a pop-up kitchen car called Bistro Oramachi in Kasukabe where you can get butaman based on Puripuri Zaemon.
Other special Shin-chan promotional events for Kasukabe are being planned with the support of Saitama, Kasukabe, and Tobu Railway. If you’re able, take the Tobu Railway Crayon Shin-chan wrapped train from Tokyo Skytree Town to Kasukabe!

Themed around the first Crayon Shin-chan movie, there will be an art exhibit showing work from Crayon Shin-chan: Action Kamen vs Haigure Maou. You’ll get to see all kinds of versions of Shin-chan.
