Touken Ranbu Online, a card browser game that began service on Jan. 1, 2015, has quickly expanded into a multimedia project that includes a musical and an anime series! With its rapidly increasing popularity, there was no surprise when a new anime series was announced for it at AnimeJapan 2016 in March.
Months after that announcement, the production company Ufotable has finally released the first trailer to give fans a taste of what they’re in for.
Like Fate/stay night and other series, the animation is especially high quality and sure to garner an overwhelming number of fans! Watch the trailer above, but don’t get too hyped yet - you won’t be able to watch the actual series until it begins broadcasting next year!
