The Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair Executive Committee has announced the merchandise lineup for this year's Kyomaf Shop at western Japan's biggest manga and anime trade fair, Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair (Kyomaf)! Kyomaf 2016 takes place on Saturday, Sept. 17 and Sunday, Sept. 18 at Miyako Messe (Kyoto-shi Kangyoukan) and other locations in Kyoto. The Kyomaf Shop is the festival's sales area where visitors can get their hands on popular manga and anime goods, plus limited edition items made in collaboration with Kyoto businesses. Around 350 different items will be available for purchase, including regular merchandise as well as pre-release items.

Event goods

Advance tickets that grant entry into a stage viewing lottery are on sale until Sunday, Aug. 28, and lucky winners can take part in events at the Kyomaf Stage (which holds around 9,900 people). The stage will be home to announcements of the latest products and talk shows featuring a total of 11 popular manga and anime series
*In order to take part in stage events at the Kyomaf Stage, participants are required to purchase and submit an advance ticket with lottery entry and be selected in the lottery.*

Kyomaf also has something for visitors who are interested in the creation of manga and anime products! The Manga & Anime Business Tour on Saturday, Sept. 17 will take participants around Miyako Messe.

◆ The Kyomaf Shop
At the Kyomaf Shop - which will be held in collaboration with Animate, Japan's biggest anime specialist store - visitors can get their hands on popular manga and anime goods, plus limited edition items made in collaboration with Kyoto businesses. Around 350 different items will be available for purchase, including regular merchandise as well as pre-release items. Some pre-release items will also get their own introductions.

● Osomatsu-san Matsuno Family Incense (6 varieties)
These incense sticks are the result of a collaboration between the incredibly popular anime Osomatsu-san and the long-established Kyoto incense store Shoyeido. Each fragrance is inspired by a different character, and each scent drifts delicately through the air, creating a relaxing atmosphere.

Osomatsu: Mixed Berry - The Sweet and Gorgeous Fragrance
Karamatsu: Marine - The Cool and Sexy Fragrance
Choromatsu: Green Tea - The Pure and Calming Fragrance
Ichimatsu: Violet - The Deep and Tender Fragrance
Jyushimatsu: Grapefruit - The "Bursting with Energy" Fragrance
Todomatsu: Rose - The Sweet and Lovely Fragrance
Each of these six fragrances is sold separately. The expected price is ¥1,000 each (including tax). This pre-release item will be available at Kyomaf before anywhere else.

**● Tsukiuta. The Animation Tsukiuta Goshuin-cho
A goshuin-cho is a notebook used to collect ink stamps at temples, and this particular goshuin-cho was made in collaboration with the popular anime series Tsukiuta. The Animation. The binding is done by hand by an artisan using a traditional Japanese binding technique.
It costs ¥1,600 (including tax), and it's a pre-release item available at Kyomaf before anywhere else.

● Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru Oil Absorbing Sheets (2 varieties)
These oil absorbing sheets were created through a collaboration between Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru (the Touken Ranbu anime series that's set to start airing in October this year) and Kyoto's Kamiya cosmetics store. The techniques of traditional Kyoto paper craftsmanship really shine through in this high-quality oil absorbing paper that's sure to leave your face beautifully shine free! There are two designs to choose from, and each has a connection to Kyoto - Yamatonokami Yasusada and Kashuu Kiyomitsu. Each design costs ¥400 (including tax), and this pre-release item will be available at Kyomaf before anywhere else.

● Nintama Rantaro Nishijin-ori Gamaguchi Purse (4 varieties)
This product was created through a collaboration between the popular anime series Nintama Rantaro and the traditional Kyoto Nishijin-ori, meaning "Nishijin weaving." The origins of Nishijin-ori stretch back to fifth and sixth century Kyoto, and it was registered as a Traditional Craft in 1976. Each chic design features a pattern of symbols from different grades in the Ninja Gakuen. Each design costs ¥2,500 (including tax), and this pre-release item will be available at Kyomaf before anywhere else.

● Bungo Stray Dogs Kyoto Fusuma Paper Book Cover (4 varieties)
This product was made in collaboration with the popular anime series Bungo Stray Dogs.
It's made from the Japanese material fusuma paper, which is used in the sliding fusuma doors in traditional Japanese houses. The designs include Kyoto-style motifs combined with the modern style of the anime series. Each book cover costs ¥950 (including tax), and this pre-release item will be available at KYOMAF before anywhere else.

◆ The Manga & Anime Business Tour
The Manga & Anime Business Tour is a unique business project that's only available at Kyomaf and is held while the fair is taking place. This tour around Miyako Messe is aimed at business people attending the fair, and it's a fantastic opportunity to observe and learn. While walking around the fair, participants can experience the actual scene of the manga and anime content commercialisation business, and the tour also includes explanations of the commercialisation of manga and anime content. By observing real exhibitors, exhibited products, sales details, and the natural habitat of content businesses, participants can get a real feeling of the possibilities of new business opportunities.

● Features: A summary of commercialisation using manga and anime content, an explanation of the path to commercialisation, observing the fair, and more.
