Nippon Animation, which was behind the Rascal the Raccoon anime series in 1977, will be holding a sales event titled The Rascal Fair at various locations of the character shop Kiddy Land! From Aug. 27 to Sept. 9, enter any of the nine Kiddy Land stores across Japan to get your hands on special items for a limited time only! These items will feature the adorable chibi Rascal designs from a popular set of stickers on LINE.
Not only will these new designs feature Rascal, but they’ll also feature the friendly little cub Tanga that appears in episodes 22 and 23 of the anime series. Some of the designs being sold will be area specific with special limited-time only illustrations. And just to make the event all the more fun, those who spend over 1,500 yen will receive a free area-specific keychain!

■ About Rascal the Raccoon
Released by Nippon Animation in 1977 as part of the World Masterpiece Theater, this popular classic will hit its 40th year broadcasting anniversary in 2017! The story takes place in the state of Wisconsin and revolves around an adolescent boy who takes in a recently orphaned raccoon and begins to care for it. The two grow up together, and through their adventures, begin to understand exactly how compatible (and incompatible) human society and wild animals really are.

In January 2013, an adorable chibi set of Rascal stickers made their debut on LINE. They’ve become wildly popular, and as of June 2016, there have been several different successful sets released - they’ve even placed first in LINE popularity rankings!
■ New Designs (Rascal & Tanga)
These new designs, which have never been sold anywhere else, revolve around Rascal and Tanga from the anime series. Fans of these two unlikely companions will be overjoyed to see them playing around and enjoying each other’s company as raccoon and bear cub are wont to do. With a reddish tint, one might get a feeling of the fall season looking at them.
