Yoyogi Animation School has just announced they are holding a 2-day festival from July 30 to 31, 2016 called YOANI Festival 2016 Summer!
As usual, YOANI will hold this event at each of their 8 school locations free-of-charge so that anyone (and not just students and staff) may attend. So far, attendees can expect announcements of new works, art displays, special seminars on the anime industry, highly anticipated results of a university and industry contest, a live performance, voice actors, and more!
There will be various workshops revolving around anything and everything anime. This is not only an event where you watch and listen, but also where you participate in activities yourself.

■ Practice With the Real Thing
At YOANI, the saying is “practice with the real thing.” No, not “practice for the real thing,” practice with it. YOANI believes that serious practice and preparation followed by opportunities to participate in actual work in the industry is the best way to students to grow. Thus, YOANI tries to provide as many opportunities as possible to experience actual work in the industry. This summer’s YOANI Festival is being held in this spirit as well, and is to become an annual event from now on!
