Pompompurin Cafe Comes to Ikebukuro! Enjoy the Exclusive Menu at Seibu Ikebukuro Between July 1 & Aug. 21

Create Restaurants is opening a cafe in Ikebukuro based on the popular Sanrio character Pompompurin! The cafe, titled “Gourmet Stadium II: Pompompurin Cafe Ikebukuro,” will await customers between July 1 and Aug. 21 at the dining park on the eighth floor of the Seibu Ikebukuro main store just outside the East exit of Ikebukuro Station.

At the cafe, guests can enjoy an exclusive menu with delicacies such as the “Dreaming Pompompurin Omurice” or “Ice Cream on Strawberry Milk,” the same menu featured at the permanent Pompompurin Cafes run by Create Restaurants in Harajuku, Umeda (Osaka), and Yokohama.

The golden retriever wearing his trademark brown beret comes in the shape of various dishes, desserts, and drinks. He looks so cute that it’s almost a shame to eat him.

As an exclusive novelty offered during this period, Pompompurin will also transform into a cute owl as a pun on Ikebukuro (owls are called fukurou in Japanese), which is something we can’t wait to see!

About Pompompurin Cafe
The first permanent Pompompurin Cafe in Japan opened its gates in Harajuku in October 2014.
It was so popular that customers were lining up every day, crowding the streets of Harajuku, resulting in the opening of their first branch store in Umeda, Osaka in June 2015, followed by another in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture in October.
