This unique pair of cups and saucers is the result of a collaboration between the world of the Evangelion anime series and Noritake, the creator of countless examples of beautiful luxury ceramics and porcelain. The gorgeous and unusual designs feature the colouring of Evangelion Unit-01 and Unit-02, the mecha-like beings that are piloted by the main characters of the Evangelion series, combined with a classic Noritake floral arabesque pattern. Each cup and saucer features the symbol of the anime series, the NERV logo fig leaf design, recreated in Noritake style. The purple and green cup and saucer set is inspired by Unit-01, while the orange and red set is inspired by Unit-02. Fans of the series might recognise the Evangelion-esque hexagonal pattern around the edge of each cup as well.
When you lift your cup to take a sip, the NERV logo is revealed in the centre of the saucer.
